Golden Tote September Review with Update = stay away from this company!

Update: Starting around November, I started noticing a decline in the quality and value of Golden Totes “surprise items”. I wasn’t the only one. There started to be more and more ladies popping up and expressing their dissatisfaction with their surprise items. There was also an increase in the amount of women complaining about getting items with holes in them, uneven hemlines, uneven prints, wrong sizes and one lady even got an empty box sent to her. Additionally, the wait times for the boxes started to get longer and longer – to the point where there were a lot of women who hadn’t even gotten their tote for one month before the next months totes went on sale. That’s more than a month that they were waiting for six items of clothes. Yeah, and about that six items….Golden Tote (GT) always advertised that if you bought a large tote, you would be paying $149 (plus $8 shipping) and receiving a tote curated just for you with a value of up to $500. Well, then GT started saying that some of their chosen items were more “high end”, so if you picked them for your large tote, then you would only get three surprises rather than the customary four. That’s nonsense. If they advertise that your tote is going to be worth $500 – and one of their “high end” items sells on other sites for around $60 – then they must really be including some unbeleivable surprises to get to that $500 right?  Wrong. That leads into another issue I started noticing. The surprise items started getting cheaper and cheaper. To the point where it was obvious that the items GT was procuring for their totes were defective or damaged items that they purchased in bulk and then touted as “personally curated” and “the best pieces at insider prices”. Nonsense. It started to look more and more like they were a dumping ground for clothing companies left overs and rejects.

I, however, remained loyal and dedicated and defensive about them – even as their product slid further and further downhill. Even as more and more complaints started cropping up and even as it became absolutely apparent that GT was more concerned about the bottom line than personalized customer service.

That’s where another issue started cropping up; GT was putting items up on their site as chosens and touting them as “amazing deals”, when people were finding the same items on sale and on close out at other online clothing sites for so much less than what GT advertised them as. I still defended them…when I got items with holes in them I just chalked it up to “oh that happens sometimes” and I kept ordering. When they only gave me three surprises because I chose a “high end” item I justified it – even when someone would post that they found that “high end” item for $20 or $30 elsewhere. Even when it was super obvious that my large tote wasn’t even close to $500. Hell, I would have been lucky if my tote added up to $200. I just kept justifying by thinking “well hey, it’s still more than the $159 I paid right”?

Well, then the final straws came closely together. I am going to post a full blog about it later – I’ve been meaning to for awhile now. But the long story short is that GT started doing a few things that I just could not justify no matter what:

1) they started putting up Junior sized clothing as both chosen items and surprise items without letting the customer know. That’s shady, shady business right there. It really upset me to see women beating themselves up or being super hard on themselves because they didn’t fit in their normal size medium and they couldn’t figure out why – well, it was because they were being given teenagers clothing and not told about it!  I’m lucky enough to be genetically blessed with small bones and a petite build. I can fit in juniors clothing. In fact, juniors clothing usually fits me better than regular women’s clothing because it’s made more like Petite sizes. However, even I can’t fit in some junior sizes, and I don’t want to. It’s designed for teenagers. It sucked to watch those women struggle and blame themselves. IT’S NOT YOU -IT’S THE CLOTHING!  GT still won’t admit or inform customers that they are buying junior sized clothing. So if you chose to buy, you might want to research the brand and find out if they offer the right sizes for you.

2) They started seriously censoring the trading board. Part of the major fun of GT is that they have a Facebook page where you could buy, sell and trade the items that weren’t your style or fit. GT always said that they were not involved or affiliated with the trading board at all and that they wouldn’t be responsible for any of the content posted on the board. However, all of a sudden there was a new member on the board named “Jen at GT” or something like that. She was put on the board by GT to answer any customer service issues. After she came on the board, any and everything even slightly negative about GT got deleted immediately. Go look for yourself – you won’t see a single negative post, because those aren’t allowed. Any company that deletes and hides negative reviews or ratings on a site they claim to not be affiliated with is suspicious as all hell to me.  It should be to you too because not every company is perfect. Not every company will please one hundred percent of their clients all of the time. Every company should appreciate and welcome constructive, and even negative, criticism so they know how and what to improve on. Not GT. Nope. They hide all of it. They don’t want you to see it. Everything is puppies and sunshine and balloon animals at GT – or so they want you to think.

3) And if you challenge them? If you ask questions about why they don’t tell the customers they are selling Jr items? Or if they send you an absolutely defective item and you ask for a replacement or you post it on the page for everyone to see – wanna know what they do?  They ban you. Yup. I was a ridiculously loyal customer. Read the original post below to see how obnoxiously loyal and defensive and in love with GT I was. I gave them thousands of dollars. Thousands. And when I got a defective as all hell shirt and asked for s replacement, they lied to me, were rude to me and refused to replace it for me. When I posted it on the trading board, they immediately deleted it. When I posted it again, they deleted it again. When I posted it on Instagram they blocked me.  Then, “Jen with Customer Service” said they do NOT sell Jr sized clothing and I said “oh yes they do and why do they keep lying about it”? Guess what? They banned me. Deleted me from the trading group, blocked me from the business FB page, blocked me on Instagram and every single GT employee and page moderator blocked me – all at the same time. Wonder why?  Hmmmmmmm? Maybe because they don’t want anyone to see the truth? Maybe they are so desperate for money and good impressions that they can’t have the real truth out there?  Well I’m still putting it out there. In fact, I’m going to post all of it in a later post when I feel like wasting more of my life on Golden Tote and I feel like letting Y’all know the truth and not the bullshit wool that GT pulls over everyone’s eyes.

I’m don’t for now. Celebrity Marriage Bootcamp is on and I feel like that’s a better use of my time than GT non sense. But I’m going to get around to it. I’m going to post all of the emails and the screen shots and the messages to show how GT will lie, cheat and be shady shady shady. To show that GT thinks their customers are disposable and they don’t care a bit about you. They don’t care about providing you a positive, personally curated by a caring stylist tote. Nonsense. They want your 💰💰💰💰💰.  They should change the name to Golden Note. All they want is your money and they don’t care what they have to say or do to get it.

Take your money elsewhere. Please. Go elsewhere. Go where the business cares at least a bit about you. Hell, even Wal-Mart has better customer service and cares more than GT does.

Thankfully, there is now competition out there. There are so many new online boutiques companies that offer clothing and mystery totes/boxes/bags that offer better quality, better service and way way better clothing – for the same price or less. They are competitive. They care about the customer and they offer what GT used to = personally curated clothing at a competitive price styled by people who care about your needs. Not what GT is now = take the money and stuff the same defective and cheap clothes in everybodies bag and call it “curated”.  Bull.

Try it. You’ll see. I’m right. Skip a month of GT and try one of the other business I am listing below and compare the two. Even if you don’t want to buy from them – then just read the Facebook pages and you’ll see the difference.

Here, give these guys a try. You’ll be amazed at the difference.

RelishClothing.com – get a mystery box or an accessories box. The clothing is similar to what GT USED to offer, but every item is so delightful and unique and different from what you will see in your brick and mortar stores at home.  You are guaranteed to get an incredible box full of clothing that you will positively love  – because the owner listens to your needs and works hard to honor your requests.  She even asks that you put a link to your Pinterest board in the order form so she can get a sense of your style. Use the code “SHINEON” to get 20% off an accessories box now until midnight Monday, August 3.  The owner has given up the boutique in favor of only doing mystery boxes.   The FB page is “Relish Clothing” and the trading page is “Relish Clothing Trading Group”. If you get an item you don’t care for – it’s easy to sell or trade on the trading page because she doesn’t just send the exact same thing to everyone over and over.

Autumn Olive Boutiqe: ShopAutumnOlive.com the lady who runs this boutique seeks out and offers a lot of items that are very similar to GT products, but you can bet they aren’t defective. She also asks for feedback from customers about what they are looking for and then tries her best to find it. The FB page is “Autumn Olive Boutique”.

Moxie.Style:  the newest of the bunch, this one is the most similar to GT in terms of their mystery totes and clothing brands – but the quality of the clothing and the customer service is head and shoulders and hips and knees above what you will get with GT. Plus, they are trying some bold and interesting ideas that really involve the buyers in the process of picking the clothes they want to see in the totes.  The website is: Moxie.Style (check out the incredible sale section up right now and grab a $5 jumpsuit = ultra comfy, I wear them as jammies).  The FB page is “Moxie Style Trading Group”.

All three of these businesses are owned and operated by women who were Golden Tote customers and thought they could improve on the current model – and I think so far they definitely have!
What it is: (My opinion) A hot mess of an attempt to take your money in exchange for defective, damaged, cheap and sometimes hideously ugly clothing.

(Advertised)  A monthly “flash sale” of women’s clothing that involves you picking one chosen item for $49 plus shipping and getting that item plus a “surprise” item chosen by the Golden Tote stylists; or you picking two chosen items and getting 3-5 (majority of the time 4) surprise items.

The October sale is right around the corner, so I thought I better finally get my review up to show Y’all so you can join in on the October sale (starts Monday, October 6 at 12 P.M. E.S.T).

I will start by saying I ordered two totes like I usually do. This month they had a huge problem with their ordering system right when the sale went live and it caused a breakdown and all the GT addicts lost their ever lovin minds over the whole thing – so GT pushed the sale back to the next day at the same time and everyone, for the most part, settled back down. To make up for the issue, GT is offering free shipping to anyone who spends more than $250 total on either the Golden Totes or they also have a boutique and sell items individually there. So I took full advantage and ordered two large totes. GT is an all or nothing deal = you love everything and keep it all or you send it all back for a full refund: minus shipping.
Before I get started with the clothes I have to do what I set out to do with this blog and give Y’all the dead honest truth. I returned one of my large totes this month. I have been ordering two large totes regularly since I first found GT in March and I have never even thought of returning a tote. I’m not sure if they got a new stylist who didn’t know me (the ladies who run GT are very often on the the Facebook trading page and they get to know us through our pictures and comments – I have even gotten a handwritten, very personalized, note from a stylist in one of my totes before) or what happened but it was a big bust. Usually the one or maybe two pieces out of the totes that I didn’t like I was always able to trade or sell on the Golden Tote Facebook Trading Group (that group is beyond incredibly active – they are red hot on buying, trading and selling). So when one of my totes was actually really disappointing = I liked 2 of the 6 items in it – I posted the other four on the trading board and only got interest in one of them. That’s when I decided to send the whole thing back, get my refund and somehow wind up ordering 2 more large totes. No joke – I ordered 2 more large totes. I justified this by reasoning that there was no shipping and I made one of my chosen items a dress for my Paralegal, Amanda, who saw mine and loved it so much she needed it too.
My two new totes should be here next week and I can show Y’all those too – but they might be after the October sale and I don’t want you to miss out, so I will show you the one awesome tote I got.

Ok enough about all that, let’s get to the review:

Chosen Item 1: This Blouse
IMG_9579.JPG

I don’t have a great picture of me wearing this, but I love it. It is soft and pretty and lays the right way. My only issue is it is incredibly low cut. That will look really hot if I want to throw it on with some black pants and go out one night, but it doesn’t work when I want to wear it under my black suit. I am considering adding one button, but for now the solution is to put a black cami under it and it still looks really good. I wore it to court already and got several compliments on it. Here is my crummy photo of me in it:

IMG_9366.JPG

See? It’s pretty and makes for a sharp look under a black suit. Love it.

Chosen Item 2: Peach Cropped Jacket

IMG_9560.JPG

When you are petite, “cropped” is one of your favorite words to see when reading an items description. I did not expect this jacket to be as thick of a material as it is. I thought it would be like a light, suit jacket type material. It’s not. It’s thick and soft and so comfy. It has really cute, but not over the top, details like the little zipper pockets and the drawstring tie at the bottom and it makes me happy. I am going to get a lot of wear out of this jacket and it’s neutral color makes it adaptable to so many items in my closet.

IMG_9561.JPG

I think this jacket is able to be worn by any age group, from teens on up, depending on how you style it. Love it.

Surprise item 1: Hourglass Lily Dress

IMG_9565.JPG

Yeah, it’s a winner. A lot of taller women find this brand to run too short for them. For me, it’s the perfect length and size. I have this dress in two other, more summery prints, but I still happily welcome this one because they are so flattering and ultra soft. It’s almost like wearing nothing. Plus the dress carries itself = you don’t need anything more than shaved legs and killer shoes and you are pulled together and ready to go. For winter, I will add tights – if I can stand them – boots and the cropped jacket and rock this dress all four seasons.

Surprise 2: Le Lis Sweatshirt

IMG_9566.JPG

Oh. My. God. Can someone please send me this sweatshirt in every pattern and color please? This is the XS and it is no joke and XS. I think it could easily fit one of those American Girl Babydolls…. I don’t care though because it actually fits me really good. Don’t get me wrong, I like a good, ultra baggy sweatshirt just as much as the next college kid, but this one is so flatteringly fitted. Before GT I was that mom at all my kids games, and school events and sometimes even the occasional meeting, in sweatpants and a sweatshirt. Now, I can still wear a sweatshirt and yet look pulled together and stylish. GT sent this sweatshirt out in, like, 12 different patterns and I would have been thrilled with a whole box of just these. Love it.

Surprise 3: Skies are Blue Embroidered Top

IMG_9568.JPG

I’m not sure why I look so “puffy” in that picture – but look at the shirt and not me! So this is Tshirt material in the back and two layers of gauzy, flowy, pretty material in the front. It is incredibly flattering and I don’t know why the picture didn’t turn out good enough to demonstrate that. I hate posing for pictures. Maybe that comes through in the shot – I just never know where to put my arms to make it look natural and not fakey. Anyway, everyone on the FB board went crazy over this shirt and it’s completely understandable. This one will get a lot of wear with me. I am glad I was lucky enough to get one, because not everyone did- and those women who didn’t are desperately trying to find one of these on the boards with no luck because almost nobody is giving theirs up! Love it.

Surprise 4: Paper Crane Top

No. Just No.

IMG_9583.PNG

I don’t even have a picture of me wearing this because I hated it right out of the package. Plus, I’m a little confused because Golden Tote let’s you add comments to your order about what you won’t wear or what you are looking for, and they have, for me, so far been dead spot on. I usually leave my comments pretty short because I do truly appreciate the aspect of GT that pushes you to try things you wouldn’t normally try and gets you out of your comfort zone. However, the two of you reading this that know me (I can’t get my friends to read my blog – they suck), know that I am not usually a flower print wearing person. Also, I specifically listed in my comments “please no loud flower print items”. So what the heck? How did this, out of all the hundreds of surprise items GT is sending out, make it into my tote? It made me unhappy, and a little sad, because one of my favorite things about GT is that I always felt like there was a real personal touch involved. Like the ladies at GT really went above and beyond to deliver a personal shopper type experience and that they listened to your comments, while still trying to get you to try new things you might never have though of wearing. They even advertise the company as a “personal shopper” type deal. This month I felt like whoever “styled” my tote just grabbed the first four items and stuffed them in my tote. I got lucky with the first three – but this one was a complete bust.

Also, I am an XS and I make that pretty clear and the GT ladies have always gotten that right. I can wear a small in most tops –
as long as they are unstructured or run small, like my first chosen item above ^^.

This shirt is huge and it felt like I was wearing a maternity shirt. I know it looks great on other people though, because Amanda grabbed it, tried it on and immediately claimed it as hers and took it home. She’s normally a size medium in tops and the small fits her beautifully. So I didn’t even have to trade it – the item I didn’t care for at all, someone standing right next to me loved and that’s pretty awesome.

I was happy to give it to her and I think Karma works in wonderful ways because after I gave it to her I got a private message on FB from one of the ladies on the Trading Group that she had a different top that didn’t fit her right and she was just going to send it to me – no charge or anything – just because she’s as sweet as can be and we interact often on the board. That is another super cool thing about GT, is the camaraderie and internet friendships formed on the trading board. Recently, the mediator of the board has asked us to not start threads on “off-topic” issues that aren’t strictly related to buying, selling, trading or styling only GT items. I understand why she wants to do that completely, but I hope it doesn’t hinder our ability to really communicate with the other women on the board.

Alright, so here is Surprise Item 5 – thanks to the amazing Justina!

IMG_9559.JPG

Awesome! This shirt is beyond comfortable and flattering and wearable in so many ways. It is hard to see in the picture, but it’s a tee shirt material with really pretty embroidery up the front. The light cream color will go with almost everything and, even though it’s a small and not an XS, it fits just right. Love it.

So I wound up with a tote that had 5 out of 6 complete winners. The one I didn’t like I was able to give away without even hitting the trading board, and I got another top I loved, thanks to someone else’s extreme generosity and kindness, for the result of a complete and total winner of a tote. 6 clothing items I will get a ton of wear out of for $149. That works out to $24.83 per item. And I never had to leave my house! Hello!! Can you see why I am a Golden Tote Addict?

If you want to be one too – here is my referral link.
https://www.goldentote.com/points/invitation/new/from/Mjg4NTk,/

If you order off my link, I get a $10 credit to use on my next tote, and after seeing the October spoilers , there will most definitely be an October tote – or four.

…..The top I am wearing in the headline picture is a GT surprise item from August that is one of my most favorite GT items ever and it is the only thing that makes me a little excited for cooler weather here…..

Last night for the Relish Clothing Promo Code!

Website: RelishClothing.com

I know you have heard me talking about this – but I’m doing it again because Y’all really, truly need to be daring and fun and buy a Relish Mystery Clothing Box now before the promo code they gave to my blog readers expires. Relish is a new subscription clothing box that sends you a box full of clothing that is a total surprise for you. They have three different sized boxes – small, medium and large; and they carry sizes from XS to XL so pretty much everyone can get their size. The lady who runs this company and does the shopping and deciding what you get is a freaking fashion genius. She needs to quit her day job and be a celebrity stylist because she just has a special gift that I damn sure don’t have.
Why do I always have something beautiful, quality and amazing to wear everyday? Because of Relish. Why do I no longer stand in front of my (overflowing) closet and whine about how I have nothing to wear? Because of Relish. Why do I get compliments every time I go out of the house now? Because of Relish.

Seriously, Y’all know I don’t lie to you or over exaggerate and Y’all damn sure know I do NOT kiss anyone’s ass or sugar coat or give compliments where they aren’t deserved because I’m hoping for special treatment or something = that is not in my moral compass. I speak my mind and I use this blog to say whatever I want and however I want to say it. The whole reason I started this blog was because I was tired of reading reviews of all these subscription boxes where the author wrote nice comments about every single thing. I would look at review after review where the authors 1) didn’t show the clothing on a real body 2) didn’t talk about the quality of the clothing 3) didn’t say anything even remotely negative about some seriously fugly clothing and 4) talked about how great a deal they got when they averaged out the price of each item in the box/tote/fix and didn’t really analyze if it was really worth the money based on whether or not they would actually wear the damn clothing. You clothing hounds know what I’m talking about here.

I didn’t want to do that. I want my blog to be intensely critical and honest and truthful and full of big, bold opinions. I want to hopefully help my readers make an educated decision on how to spend their limited discretionary money wisely. Go look; look at some of the other blogs that review clothing. You will see how most of them write that everything is “cute, lovely, perfect for my younger neice, amazing but not quite my style, damaged but not too bad and easily fixed” etc.etc. etc…..I got really frustrated with that so I started my own and you can bet your butt you are going to get my dead honest opinion. And my opinion of Relish Mystery Boxes is that they are the absolute best choice for clothing mystery boxes that I have ever seen. I have now received three large boxes from Relish, I have another one on the way to me and I bought one as a gift for my Paralegal, Amanda.  I have been completely pumped by every single box. I even tried to grab stuff out of Amanda’s haul and she’s a size bigger than me. I have been wearing Relish clothing almost daily since I started getting the boxes. I have gotten items that I can wear for date night, meeting with clients at the office, lounging around the house and even for wearing to court (I’m not in legal trouble, I’m an attorney most days). I’ve put a hold on my Stitch Fix subscription and I only buy other clothing subs if they have something really cool or they have a great sale. I’ve even stopped looking, and buying, from Hautelook too. My friends, I was pretty close to needing an Intervention to get me away from Hautelook – I won’t tell you the amount of $ I have dropped on them in the last few months, but how bout this: I returned enough stuff to their brick and mortar real store this week to pay my August mortgage tomorrow. Addict. True addict. But not anymore – because Hautelook was just the gateway to Relish. Relish is gonna get almost all my money now.

So, get daring. Get brave and just have some freaking fun and order one of these boxes. Chances are high that you will love every single item that you get , but if you don’t, there is a FaceBook page set up where you can list the items you don’t like for sale or trade. There aren’t many listings on those boards – my guess is because nobody wants to sell anything they get!

I’m gonna give you some tips on how to increase your chances of getting a box that’s perfect for you, and then I’m gonna show you just some of the amazing stuff I’ve gotten in my past boxes. Then you are going to go buy a box!

1) Go join the Facebook trading page = Relish Clothing Trading Page. On that page women post “reveals” of the their boxes. You can get see all beautiful women of all different sizes and shapes; who all have different style preferences. This will give you a good idea of what to put in your comments when you buy your box.

2) Go to the website and bypass the “boutique” completely. The owner of the company started out with the idea of wanting to do the boxes and a boutique, but the boxes have been so everwhelmingly popular that she has forgone the boutique and concentrated all effort on the boxes. In other words, the boutique in no way reflects what will come in your order.

3) Select the size box you want and your clothing size. About clothing size: don’t worry or fret too much about which clothing size to order. If you put the right notes = you will get the right sizes.

4) After you add the box to your cart, there is a section that allows you to add what you “relish”. So my suggestion is to first add a description of your general body measurements, like your bra size, the size you normally wear in jeans, the size you normally wear in tops and bottoms, your height and even your weight if you are comfortable with that. After that section is a place for a promo code. Use “InsideTheBoxes10” for 10% off until midnight tonight. So hurry!   Even if you miss the code though, it’s still an incredible deal regardless. And if a new promo code comes out = I’ll list it here for you.

5) Get descriptive, but don’t close the door and all the windows too! The whole point of a mystery box is to be surprised right?!? So give the lady styling you the opportunity to push you a little out of your comfort zone. However, if you hate the color yellow and would never wear it, then write that in the notes so you don’t get a yellow dress and then hate it. If you love rompers and hate maxi dresses – let her know! Try to describe your general, everyday style. I love a “boho/gypsy” vibe to my clothes, and I also like a “Street Style Edgy Vibe”. Those words can mean very different things to different people, so I described what my idea of that means. I also wrote that I don’t care for Brown, Beige, floral print or basic boring stuff. I can buy my basic items at any Gap or Old Navy or even Target. I want my mystery boxes to have unique, amazing and different items that not everyone in my town has seen in the window of Banana Republic.

6) if you are a stay at home mom, or you work in a conservative office or you wear a uniform to work or anything special like that, put that in the notes.  If you have toddlers that will grab and tug anything handing off your body – put it down. If you don’t like to show certain parts of your body or, if you want help flattering or concealing parts of your body – put it in the notes.  A stylist needs to know these things so she can style you right.

Tops: One of the most common issues I have seen with these mystery boxes is Bra issues. If you don’t want sheer items or items that won’t let on wear a regular, normal bra – then say that. Some huge trends in women’s clothing right now are crochet detailing, sheer back shirts, interesting necklines, and thin strapped dresses that require either no bra, or a bandeau type bra under them. If this is not for you, then put it in the notes. Also, if you like a looser, flowy fit to your tops, then ask to be sized up in smaller fitting items. I have seen that Relish has an amazing ability to size women up or down on certain brands. Also, if you are between sizes, then please tell them you are a “smedium” or whatever size you are and I assure you, the items will fit!

Bottoms: skirt length is another big thing women have strong opinions about. I don’t like “midi” or “tea” length dresses and skirts because I’m “tea” lengthened in height. So I think I look silly in them. However, I have written in my notes that I will make and exception if my stylist thinks it’s an amazing piece – so far I have gotten only one midi length skirt and it’s one of my favorite clothing items I’ve seen this season so far anywhere. I love it! Also, denim: if you are really selective about your jeans, then it’s probably best to just say you don’t want denim at all. If you are willing to try denim, then make sure to list your size and list color preferences – because colored skinny jeans are a big thing right now and if you don’t say anything, then chances are you might get a pair of cool colored skinny jeans!

Dresses: again, be more specific about what you positively will not wear, rather than what you will.

Here is an example of what I put in my notes:

“Hello, I am a true XS, but I can wear a small in certain items and brands. I am a small B cup. I am 5’1 and 120 pounds with an athletic, compact build.  I love a boho gypsy look and/or street style edgy. Boho to me means hippie type patchwork colors and prints and crochet detailing and flowy items I can layer.  I don’t like beige, brown, tan or other boring colors or prints. I don’t mind some “critter/animal” prints – but only if they aren’t too cheesy. I don’t like midi length dresses or skirts, I don’t like most cardigans or kimonos unless they are interesting. I never wear anything gold, including if the clothing has gold color in it. I love unique, beautiful items that look and feel quality. I love soft clothing. I love tops I can wear under my skirt suits for work. I don’t mind tops that require no bra. I don’t mind items that are “BodyCon”. In denim I am a size 25 or 26 depending on the cut.”

That’s a lot of words – but with Relish there is not word count. You can write as little or as much as you want. Again though, don’t write so much that you close yourself out of everything. Allow her to surprise you!

Thirty Days of Candy Review

Man oh man, I think I just got the best mail ever today!

I heard about this fairly new subscription box and decided to just give it a try. Why not right? They send candy – how could that go wrong?

So this one works like this: you can do the monthly subscription and they will bill you $29.95 every month and then they will send you a big box of thirty individually packaged bags of candy centered around a different theme each month. Or, you can buy a one time box and it will always be the same theme = “Around the World in 30 Sweets”.

Even thought you can cancel at anytime, I thought I would play it safe and just order the one time box – knowing full well that I would end up subscribing monthly because I am a candy freak. I love candy. All candy. Any candy. Sugar. Just send me the sugar. I figured I couldn’t lose with this one.

So what does it look like?

It came so beautifully wrapped! This would make the most amazing gift. Seriously. If someone got me this as a gift I would freak out. Now you people know what you will be getting from me on your next birthday.

Look at how each bag has the countries flag on the top. Really awesome. Just ridiculously cool packaging. Each bag has a couple of pieces of candies in it, plus a description of the candy with a calorie count and trivia, and a cute little card on the backside with a quote of proverb from a famous person from that country. It’s pretty outstanding. I’m pretty sure if I added up the cost of just the candy, it would be far less than thirty bucks, but the packaging and the whole presentation just makes it well worth the money.

So some of these candies are typical ones we have all heard of, like Pez (Austria – who knew that?), Sixlets (Canada!?!) and Bit O Honey = the U.S. Choice – out of all the choices they pick Bit O Honey? Sorry, but if I was visiting friends in another country and wanted to bring them candy from America, I would never even think of Bit O Honey. I would go with something like Sprees (my favorite) or Nerds (my other favorite) or Jolly Ranchers (the soft ones are unreal good) – I could go on and on….what candy screams “America” to you?

The majority of these though I have never seen or heard of. I love that. I love that my kids and I are able to learn a bit about each country, while getting our sugar high on too. Sweeeet!

Here’s what a couple of them look like:

I love Hi Chews! I can get them at my local grocery store. You should try them = they’re outstanding.  I also came unglued when I saw the White Rabbits from China. A co-worker gave me a few bags of these back before the Internet was a thing and I have thought about them over the years, but forgot what they were called. Now I just went and looked on Amazon and I can get six bags for $13.50!  Sweeeet!
Here’s what a couple of the little sayings on the packages look like = I need to find a creative way to display these. Anybody got any ideas?

I love this box. I love that I learned some trivia, I have these cute little cards to work with and I have a giant box of crazy candies to try. Next months theme is going to be “Thirty Candies with Delicious, Albeit Unusual, Flavors”. I’m all over that Yes!

Picky Details: everybody who orders will automatically get this same box that I got (maybe that’s why it’s Bit O Honey = because they had to pick candy that wouldn’t go bad or something)?.  If you want to skip this box, then there is a section where you subscribe that you can check a box saying you already got the first box and want to pick up your subscription with the next box. Also, there is no discount for subbing to multiple months in advance, there is no referral discount, shipping is $5.95 and you can cancel anytime, any month as long as you do it before they charge your card for the next month.

Crazy Flavors here I come!

Moxie Style Mystery Grab Bag And Huge Sale Tomorrow!

UPDATE!

So tomorrow (Saturday) Moxie is going to be having ginormous, epic sale. Here’s how it’s going to work. First, this is going to work as a “Flash” sale and Moxie is only going to announce the sales in one spot =their Facebook trade group page. So get over there and join the group, even if it’s only for tomorrow. Starting at eleven A.M. EST they are going to launch groups of items for sale. They will launch new groups every fifteen minutes – I suppose until they run out of items to post. You can purchase items individually as they come up for sale during the day, or you can purchase all at once. Beware that if you choose the latter, you run the risk that you will lose an item in your cart. So if you really love something, I would buy it right away before someone else gets it first. Either way, it will all be combined together at the end for FREE shipping. Yes, I said FREE shipping. Yes, that includes you too happy Canadians! We ALL get free shipping.

No coupon codes will be honored tomorrow. They will all be suspended during the sale. So if you still want to use that Moxie code, today is the day to go ahead and do it.

If an item doesn’t sell out right away, it will stay on the site until 9 P.M. and then they will be taken down and gone.

Also, please keep in mind this is a baby business. They just started and this is their first flash sale. So remember to try and be kind and don’t turn into crazy cat ladies if there are glitches or issues. It’s just clothes Y’all. Awesome, amazingly priced clothes but still…just clothes. So everybody relax, stay tuned in and happy shopping!

Two nights ago I typed a huge, long reveal blog about these bags – and then, I clicked something wrong apparently, because the whole things got deleted instead of published. Man that is beyond frustrating. So it took me another two days to get over this App and re type this. Sorry bout it.

What this is: A clothing mystery tote! You know I can’t resist those.

What it costs: there are three sizes:

Small is $44 and has the tote bag you pick out, plus two additional items.

Medium is $63 and has the tote and three items.

Large is $124 and includes the tote plus six items.

You can choose to have just “tops and bottoms”, “tops and dresses”, “tops only” or “anything goes!”  Y’all know which one I went for.  They say that all of the items you get come from a “secret” inventory and are not listed in the boutique. However, you can scroll the boutique and request items you like and the chances seem to be pretty good that you will get those items. Awesome customer service. They also have a place when you are checking out to add notes about things you like and don’t like. I usually use this space to tell mystery box packers: I am a true XS but can wear a small if the item runs smaller, I don’t like brown, beige or other boring, neutral colors, I love anything with a true “Hippie/Boho” vibe to it, I don’t like preppy styles or nautical theme. I forgot to add on this one that I don’t want flower print, cardigans, kimonos or wraps of any kind , but that’s ok because I got lucky. The box was just so small, that it really prevents you from writing a while book about what you want.  I don’t mind though, because isn’t that the whole point of surprise totes? You take all the fun out of it – and might as well just shop at The Gap – if you write a laundry list of a million things you hate. Step off that ledge and have some fun with the clothes!

This is a brand new, trying to get off the ground, business. So they offered a huge 50% off sale to get thier name out – and I missed it. Of course I did. I am always a day late and a dollar short. So I emailed customer service all whiny and begging and got a lightening fast response that they were going to open the code back up for 24 hours for me and all of the readers of my Facebook page (Thinking Inside the Boxes – go there and add me please). How cool is that?! So I am loving the customer service already – but do I love the clothes? Well let’s find out! I snatched up a large tote and a medium tote for a grand total of $93.50! Score!

First, let me talk a minute about the actual totes. I love them. All these different clothing subscription boxes package things differently. For example, Golden Tote packs everything in a beige colored, themed type, grocery sack sized, cheap fabric bag. Relish packs everything nearly wrapped in bright green tissue paper, with a RingPop (!!!) in a regular shipping box. Front Door Fashion packs each outfit they put together for you in nice, basic black garment bags that hang in the closet – which is brilliant but man do you pay for it. Everyone has a different way and I don’t really pay attention to that, because I just want the clothes! However, Moxie has changed the packaging game – and I really love it.

So with Moxie, they pack everything in a truly substantial, sturdy, large, well made tote bag that you get to pick out. They are quality. I love both of my tote bags and I will probably carry one as a daily bag and use the other as a beach/pool bag. They would also be great for taking to the grocery store and using for your perishable, cold and frozen items because these babies are waterproof. The outside of one of mine feels like a coated plastic and the other one feels soft and suedish (not a word but it describes the feel perfectly so it stays). Both have a nylon interior lining that looks and feels like backpack material. Both have a zippered pocket on the inside for the little things you need. I’m writing so much about the totes because seriously, these totes are freaking great! It’s a cool, and different, way to send the clothing and I really feel like the totes add a lot of value to the whole thing.

These are the two tote bags I picked:

I’m pretty sure I picked the black version of the zebra bag and got the tan one by mistake. I’m happy about it though, because now that it’s here, I feel like the tan color makes the tote less super quirky and more useable for everyday. I don’t actually love Paris. I really feel just kinda Bleh about Paris, but I like the look of the bag so I picked it and maybe it will make me appear cooler or more sophisticated or something (ha! Gonna take a lot more than a tote bag…..). Moxie now has new tote bags up, and of course they added a “horsey” one, so I will be ordering again because I need that bag:

Horses. Horses make me very happy!

It looks like they have also added some totes that are even nicer in quality, fabric and detail than these totes – with a slightly higher price to go with them.  I’m simply guessing that the higher price of those totes is because of the quality of the bag. There is nothing in the description that tells me otherwise. I do wish that was made clearer. I wish the whole section about the mystery totes was a little clearer in the descriptions – but it’s still not that difficult to figure out, just a little confusing. Here’s most of what’s available now:

Is the hardware gold or silver on this one?

Hard to tell, but this one looks canvas. I love the rope handles and that crazy cool print!

So already, Moxie has me planning on ordering again just because of those totes. I don’t need that many totes, I really, truly don’t. But I WANT them. I’ve never craved a tote bag in my life and now, here I am, wanting this one and that one and that one….they’ve got me hooked. Ok, enough yapping about the totes and let’s get to the freaking clothing already right?

Large Tote:

1: Pink Owl Maxi

Isn’t this great? It’s lined to the knee and it has cute detailing like the open back and the tie at the shoulder. At least I think it ties at the shoulder? Looking at it now, I think maybe it’s supposed to be tied in the back and I just have it on wrong? It came to me like this:

The tie was pulled out of the fabric on the one side and I had to put it back together. I’m thinking now I should have threaded it s different way and fixed it so it ties in the back. However, I like the tie on the shoulder and I’m keeping it like that. If anyone knows of a way to rethread, can you please comment and let us know? There has to be a good hack out there.

I love the shape, colors, print and look of this dress. I don’t like that it’s that heavy polyester – but only because I live in Georgia and the humidity is crazy stupid high. This dress will melt right onto my skin when I step outside. I’m going to wear it anyway and when it gets a little cooler, I’m going to add my cropped Jean jacket and jam out in this pretty baby.

They said these items aren’t in the boutique, but since I took forever to write this post, this dress is now in the boutique and it’s $28. Go snatch it up!

2: THML dress/tunic:

I like this. I’m short enough to wear it as a dress, but you taller ladies (which means all of you) would have to wear it as a tunic with leggings or skinnies. I think it would look fantastic with white skinny jeans. I love all the detailed embroidery, the way it lays and the different lengths. I wasn’t crazy about that giant beige section- but it’s grown on me. Plus it works with my neutral shoes and makes me look taller (yeah right). This dress is just a little scratchy – but not unwearable scratchy.

Even though I think it looks fantastic all on its own, I tried two different looks with this one:

With a cropped pink blazer looks perfect for a lunch date

Ohhh, i really love this look!

“I have just one more question Sir”

I am loving that long vest paired with the dress! That vest actually came in another ladies mystery tote, but I got it from her off of Facebook. Moxie now has its own Facebook page where you can Buy, Sell and/or trade clothing from their boutique. You can also see what other people got in their Mystery totes.  It’s called “Moxie Style Trading Group” and you should join – even if it’s just to lurk and see some reveals to decide if you want one.

3: Paisley Lounge Shorts:

So these are cute. They fit my comments about Boho style perfectly. The print all lines up exactly – a huge problem with some of these surprise companies is that they buy defective items and pass them off as “cute”. Bullshit. The item is clearly defective if the striped don’t line up at the seams and it’s completely unacceptable (talking about you Golden Tote).

I will wear these shorts. I wish they were a little softer, but they aren’t that heavy polyester that melts to you. These are now also in the boutique = $18.

4: Selfie Couture White Top:

Hello friend! I adore this top.  It’s soft, it’s see through, it has fringe and crochet detail! As a gypsy loving girl, this top fits my requests perfectly. I would need to wear a bandau or tank or something under it to go out in public, but here I just took the opportunity to use my Nippies! I got them in the Rachel Zoe Box Of Style and have been using them constantly. They are crucial for sheer items like this. However, when I take this top public, I will wear my pretty, baby blue, lace bandau and love it! This top is going to become a heavy rotation item in my wardrobe – the only issue is that the fringe makes me have to hand wash it. Ugh.  Does anyone out there know a different way to wash fringe items? Please let us know if you do.

5: Pink Tank

Just a simple, cute, polyester tank. Not the most exciting item I’ve ever gotten, but I think I can make it work. I don’t usually like flower print, but this is the type of flower print I can love because it’s so muted – almost like a watercolor. I think this will look great under my suits for court. I dressed it up for a different look too:

Somebody take me on a date!

6: Surprise Item!

Momma said knock you out!

Oh man I LOVE this! Love this! I don’t own anything like this and I’m not sure why? I’m glad I do now! I’m already wearing this. Love it!

7: Miss Love Jumper:

And here’s where the wheels fell off.  I am only sending these pictures out into the whole world because I love you. Because I promises a truly honest, critical review of all items. Just please, please don’t make me into a meme:

Seriously, no memes!

Ummmmmmm……

Yeah, I do appreciate that I asked for bold and unique items. This definitely fits those words pretty perfectly right? However…..hmmmm…I really just don’t have words for this one. It’s not me. Everything about it is just off and wrong.  I don’t really know who could pull this off? If you are reading this and you think you could; let me know and I’ll send it to you. This is also listed for sale in the boutique =on sale for $17!

For now though, I can add big red shoes, a rainbow afro wig and a red nose and I’ve got a perfect, rockin Halloween costume. So at least I can use it for something.  I didn’t give up hope though, I tried to style it a couple of different ways to see if I could make it work. Yeah, no. I can’t. Just can’t: Sorry Moxie -I tried. I really really tried.

70’s Theme Party? I’m winning!

I’m not pregnant I promise! It just has this weird pouch of fabric at the front that makes me look in my second trimester.

Doesn’t look half bad with a big sweater.

So there’s the large tote. Do I feel like I got my monies worth? I really do. I’m not over the moon amazed at all of the items, but I do like most of them – and I positively love the ring, the tote and the white fringe top. One real miss out of 7 items. The large tote is $124 – I don’t think I would pay that much for the items I got, but with the promo I paid $62 and that’s a great deal for what I got. I would definitely try this bag again, especially if there is at least a 20% off promo. So at full price it just wouldn’t have felt like an awesome bargain – but at $62 it does.

Moving on:

Medium Tote:

1) Esley Ruched Cardigan

Trying to show the ruching but failing

I always put in my comments that I don’t like cardigans. I really do like them, but only certain ones. I’m picky about them, so I just ask to leave them out. I’m glad I forgot to add that note this time because I really like this cardigan. It’s cute, the color is perfect and the little ruching down the sides makes for a very flattering fit. This is a great basic that I will wear a ton. My only complaint is that the sleeves are just a little too tight – but I’m really petite so it’s not much of an issue for me, just something for people to know if they are considering ordering. I can’t roll the sleeves up. So, if you want to layer items under this, size up.  This cardigan is in the boutique for $19. That’s a steal for a quality Esley item.

2: Commie Toi Lace Pleated Top:

It’s Love.  I adore this. It’s flowey, gauzy, sheer and wonderful! It fits my style perfectly and I will wear this a ton.

How cute is this top? Looks awesome with that bad ass ring too!

Yup. That’s a winner. If you love it too, it’s in the boutique now for $29

3: Fantastic Fawn Wrap Dress

Because I’m Happy!

Every women looks incredible in a wrap dress. They are flattering on any size, shape, height, weight and chest size. This one is no exception = it’s simply amazing. The colors are perfect, the fit is perfect, the length is right on, the fabric is soft and perfect. I love this dress and I will be wearing it to work as much as possible. Total winner! It’s available in the boutiwe for $29 and that’s a true steal! Go grab one – or 4 – now!

So the items in my medium tote add up to $77, not including the value of the tote bag itself. It’s normally $63, but with the promo, I paid $31.50. Did I get my monies worth? Hell yeah I did! I would have paid that for the dress alone. Total score. I’m very happy.

Speaking of scoring, through the rest of the day today, you can use the code MOXIE to get 25% off anything in the boutique. So hurry up and grab one of these mystery bags! Also, tomorrow they are going to have exclusive flash sales all day. These sales are only going to be made available to the members of their trading page on Facebook. So you better get over there and sign in and join the sale. I’m guessing we are going to be grabbing some really great items! And…let’s keep the fun going. Moxie was so awesome that they sent me three $10 coupons to give out to my Blog readers! Thanks Moxie!  I’ve thought about how I am going to do this and can’t come up with a super fair way unless I add one of those crazy raffle things – I don’t want to go through the hassle of all that so I will do it this way: the first three of you ladies to like my Facebook Page = Thinking Inside The Boxes (it counts if you already like the page), comment on this blog post and share it somewhere (Twitter, Facebook, re blog etc..) will get a coupon. Hurry and get them now so you have it to use tomorrow!

Review of Happy Mail by A Beautiful Mess

Ok, this one is a little different because it’s not fashion or makeup related (WHAT)!! Yeah, I found a really cool box that I think a ton of women out there would love, so men take note – THIS WOULD MAKE AN AMAZING GIFT!

What it is: a monthly delivery of greeting cards with some extras thrown in. Run by two sisters who also have a blog full of creative, interesting decorating and style ideas.

Cost: $20 a single month, $18 a month for a 6 month commitment and $15 a month for a 12 months commitment.

What they send: so every month you are going to get at least $50 of stationary that is all handmade by the ladies at A Beautiful Mess just for this Sub Box.

I love cards. I love little notes. I love to send cards to my family and friends and I love to leave little notes around the house for the kids. I like to stick cards in the kids bags or – in the case of my cranky teen son – on his bathroom counter so I at least know he has brushed his teeth and noticed it. I love the ones that are interactive and ask questions they have to respond to, because my kid always responds and that makes me super happy because sometimes that’s the most communication I can get out of him in a week.

So this subscription was a no brainer for me. A bunch of greeting cards sent every month? Heck yeah! Bring it. I signed up for a twelve month commitment because you can’t get anywhere close to 8 greeting cards for $15 at Hallmark or Target. Not even close. Unless you buy those dumb .99 cent ones that look designed by me = no artistic quality period. No feels included.

Ok, so I ordered this box on July 6. They send out all new months on the tenth of the month. So if you order now, they will send you July’s sub. I got June’s box sent to me first which is really cool. I love that they didn’t make me wait a whole month to get the latest box. They just sent me the previous months so I got it really fast.

So what did I get? Check it:

Well look how beautifully it came packaged!

First up was a cute print on heavy card stock that will be framed and hung in my office. I’m betting this is a monthly thing and by the end of my year sub, I will have a wonderful wall of interesting, cool, frugal art.

I put all items next to my Snickers bar so you get a good idea of the size.

Next are five fold up cards, with envelopes. These are all blank on the inside and the card quality is right up there with those $4 cards you get at Greeting Card stores.

Can you guess who this one is going to?!

I also got three others that are flat, with room to write on the back, and also with envelopes:

And then there’s my favorite one of all:

I love anything horse!

So this one didn’t come with an envelope, which I’m pretty sure was an oversite on their part. I’m sure I have a zillion envelopes here at the house – it’s just a matter of finding one. The other problem that I will have with this, and all of these cards, is who to send them to? Not because they aren’t relevant, but because I love them all and I want to send them to everyone; which means I’m just going to hoard them until I make myself just let them go.

There were also two cute extras in the package too:

The first is a page of sticker strips. Oh man, I’m a grown woman of two, yet my love of stickers has never waned. Never! I wish I still had my photo album full of stickers. Remember when that was a thing? I had the full Lisa Frank collection, tons of scratch and sniffs, the little Cathy Cartoon ones with the funny sayings, the Snoopy S.W.A.K. One, puffys, Garbage Pail Kids and this one:

Not included in the box, just lodged in my memories of childhood!

Man, wouldn’t it be cool if these girls were able to do a month curated around 80’s sticker collection themes?

Last item:

So I can always use a notepad for anything and everything. The problem around this house though, is that I can never find a pen when I need one. I will probably bring this to the office and use I to leave a ton (well, really just 23 because that’s how many sheets there are) of annoying notes for my secretary, Amanda. She’ll be SO thrilled….

Ok, so 9 cards, 8 envelopes, 6 stickers, a print and a notepad – all for just $15.  This is a true winner of a subscription for me.

Wanna sign up? Head on over to the website at: shop.abeautifulmess.com and subscribe.

They also have a scrapbook subscription that looks really cool, if you are into scrapbooking. I started one once…

Happy Mail is awesome!

The Zoe Report Box Of Style Review

Man oh man oh man – hey all you other “Style Sub Boxes? Step on up and check out how you really do a subscription box right. Rachel Zoe and her style box team just schooled eveyone out there on how you rock the box!

What it is: a quarterly box of “fashion, beauty and lifestyle items you’ll be obsessed with”

Cost: $100 a box or $350 for a full year (4 boxes).

This is the second box and it’s sold out – sorry. If you subscribe today your first box will be the September box, and that’s ok -because these boxes are simply crushing it. Y’all need to get on this now. Let me show you why:

Every box includes what Rachel calls a “Hero Item”. I’m not really sure what that’s really supposed to mean, other than a kinda hokey way of saying it’s the one item in the box that it worth more than the cost of the box itself. The “Hero Item” (seriously, I fee goofy typing that) in the Spring box was a stunning, unreal gorgeous Gold Horseshoe shaped cuff that was selling online for $200. I don’t wear gold, so I was bummed about that one – except I figured out I could take it to a jeweler and have it rhodium plated and all is right with the world.

The “Hero” of this box? A purse! I don’t really like purses. I have three that I actually use – and that’s over my whole entire life. Three purses. Well, now I have four. Because this bag is loving me!

The Cambridge Satchel Company White Leather Pushlock Handbag: value $150

I am not gonna lie – I squealed like a crazy little girl when I unwrapped this pretty baby. Squealed. High pitched and everything. It’s amazing. It’s everything I love in a bag. The leather is so sleek and smooth you would almost think it was plastic. It’s very plain and it has silver hardware! Do you know how hard it is to find a beautiful, classy bag with silver hardware?

The inside is even sleeker than the out:

I love this bag. It’s so easy and simple and stunning. Rachel has informed me, in the info booklet that comes with each box, that I can wear it with a T-shirt, jean shorts and gladiator sandals and then at night I can remove the cross-body strap, use it as a clutch and dress it up with a printed shirt and heels. Thanks Rach!  Truly, the color and style make it wearable with pretty much anything, anywhere.

Amazing.

Item 2 is my favorite in the box, and probably my favorite thing I have ever gotten in a subscription box ever: The Mara Hoffman Sarong created exclusively for Box of Style: value $98

Working it as a halter dress – an 11 year old took this pic for me, so excuse the snotty couture head pose there please.

Seriously? I am going to wear this everywhere until mid October. Everywhere. I am already trying to figure out how to wear it to court.

At the pool working a dress look.

Yeah, this thing makes me feel awesome enough to post a pic of me on the whole internet with no makeup!

If you fold it in half and tie one set of ends in a knot and slip it over your neck and pull your arms through somehow , you wind up with a vest. Probably better to just Google it!

Not a bad picture for a cell phone right?

Can you tell how much I love it already? If those two items alone had been the entire box, I would be all set and happy. But nope. Rachel gave us more:

3. Too Faced Bronzer: in “Sun Bunny”

I love the dual shades so you can go lighter or darker on the bronze. Or swirl them both together and it works even better.

4: Too Faced: color drenched lip creme in “Spice Spice Baby”

I prefer more pinky and coral colors for summer, but this shade will probably work for almost any skin tone and hair color mix there is. So it’s a perfect color choice and I will wear it constantly – or really just until I lose it, which means about two weeks.

5: Nipple Covers:

Say what? Yeah, that’s what they are and they are brilliant and amazing and super useful.

It’s like this Rachel lady knows me! I need these bad because here, in the Georgia heat, almost all my clothing is super lightweight and, sometimes, exceptionally sheer. These little bad boys stick right onto your body and they are soft and smooshy and they keep everything covered. Perfect for some of my beautiful maxi dresses that I don’t want to wear a full bra with and a bandaue gets annoying or interferes with the look of the dress. Here’s a perfect example:

This dress is crochet all on the top. There is no nipple coverage except for a few pieces of strategically placed crochet material. One wrong move and out pops a nip! Those covers will keep all the good stuff contained, content and comfortable. Perfect.

6: a fancy, expensive looking face exfoliator.

O. R. G. Skincare Mineral Peel Face

No matter what I do, these pictures still upload sideways. Sorry about it, but you get the idea right? You can see that it’s a beautifully packaged face care product in a glass bottle. Perfect for using for yourself or giving as a gift.

Rachel has this listed as $44, and I’m sure somebody is paying that much for it somewhere. But Amazon Prime has it for $27.52. Who care though? This is not a product I would have ever bought for myself. So I love being able to try it. If it works, I’ll go with the Amazon price and buy more. I don’t feel cheated or anything like I would with some boxes out there, because we will always be able to find beauty products for cheaper through a good search and the rest of this box was worth way more than what I paid anyway. So I’m totally cool with the price drop.

As for the product? I’ve tried it twice. It reminds me a lot of the Sonya Dakar Flash Facial except even faster. You spray it on, let it absorb for three seconds (how do they come up with these times? Like, how did they decide three seconds was the exact amount of time this product required to soak in my skin for maximum benefit)? Then you rub it around and it feels like all of your skin is rubbing off with it. Rinse and you have wonderfully exfoliated, new skin. Don’t forget to add sunscreen or night cream after! I will keep using this and see how it turns out.

Ok, so six items. All individually wrapped in black tissue paper and presented in a gorgeous box. Perfect for gift giving. I bought the full year, so this box cost me $87.50. Worth it. Beyond worth it. The sarong alone is going to get $87.50 worth of wear out of it.

We got jewelry in the Spring box. A purse in the Summer. What can she possibly be thinking of putting in the Fall box?  Any guesses? I’m placing my bet now that it’s a cashmere blend sweater. Just my guess. What’s yours?
